For the Feijenoord Stadium, safety in and around the stadium, for the public, supporters, players, employees and all those involved, is one of the spearheads of its policy.
Security Management Group is the holding company for four Ltds, namely SMG Corporate Security, SMG Event Security, SMG Traffic and SMG Services. As a subsidiary of the Feijenoord Stadium, SMG specialises in providing safe service for various (sports) events, objects and infrastructural jobs. These include the CHIO, Boothstock Festival, Feyenoord and Pathé cinemas.
SMG Corporate Security focuses on the safety and security of various properties, such as offices, museums, cinemas and shops. The company does this in various ways, such as the deployment of security guards on location, alarm follow-up and fire, closing and inspection rounds. The customer-oriented approach is the strength of the company and its people.
SMG Event Security is a security organisation that primarily focuses on hospitable security at (sports) events. SMG Event Security is specialised in dealing with crowd management issues. By combining years of experience with the most up-to-date knowledge, event organisers can be advised honestly and clearly about the measures to be taken.
SMG Traffic focuses on traffic control and everything that encompasses. SMG Traffic specialises in writing mobility plans in various areas to advise clients. In addition, SMG Traffic supplies professional and event traffic controllers with various specialist services, such as BRL.
SMG Services is the service branch of SMG. SMG Services provides presentable and hospitable service staff. Football stewards, medical stewards, scanners and parking attendants are also among the possibilities.
In addition to the above-mentioned disciplines, SMG also has its own training institute, the SMG Academy. This is where employees are trained or receive additional courses and training, such as: event security, fire prevention, resilience, crowd management and control and medical assistance (including AED).

Article 8 deals with unauthorised objects and conduct. Besides these objects, no vuvuzelas are allowed inside. During the matches of the Dutch National Team, smoking is banned in the entire stadium.
